Click and Collect service
Click and Collect is a free, contactless way to pick up your library materials including books, DVDs and magazines. The service is available from all City of Moreton Bay libraries and our friendly library staff will bring your items to your car or a pick-up point near the library entrance. You can request items:
If it’s your first time using the Click and Collect service on the app, follow our easy step-by-step guide below. You will need to have the myMBRL app installed on your phone to use the Click and Collect service.
Step 1
Visit your ‘My Account’ section and select ‘Reservations’. Then select the books you would like to collect. Reserved books that are ready to collect will have the ‘Available - ready for pickup status’ attached to them. Tap the dark green button that says ‘Click & Collect’ to get started.
The Click and Collect feature will only work during library opening hours and if a library staff member is available.
Step 2
You will be taken to a screen where you will be able to see the items you are collecting and which library you are picking them up from.
Tap the bright green ‘I’m on my way’ button once you are ready to collect your order.
Step 3
At this stage, we’ll need to know when you’ll arrive so that we can start preparing your items. You have two options for this:
- Tapping the ‘I’m on my way’ button lets us know roughly when you will arrive. Note that for privacy reasons, this feature does not reveal your exact location to us in any way, only your scheduled estimated time of arrival (ETA).
- You can also provide us with a rough estimate of how long it will take for you to arrive. We recommend this method as it is the simplest way to let us know.
Finally, tap the bright green ‘I’m here!’ button and we will deliver the books to you.
Step 4
A chat window will also pop up so you can talk directly to friendly library staff and let them know exactly where you are.
For example, if you want books delivered to your car, let staff know your car colour and how close to the Click and Collect sign you parked, so that they can identify your vehicle easily.
Step 5
Once you’ve collected your book, press the bright green ‘Done - I have my items’ button. Happy reading!

Frequently asked questions
How do I tell someone I’ve arrived and am ready to collect my items?
If you have already notified us you are on your way via the myMBRL app, tap the green ‘I’m here’ button option in the app. This will tell our staff you have arrived and are ready to receive your items.
If you have not notified us you are on your way but you are at the library, open the myMBRL app, visit ‘My Account’ and select ‘Reservations’. Select the items you would like to collect and tap ‘Click & Collect’. You will then be able to tap the green ‘I’m here' button. This will tell our staff you have arrived and are ready to receive your items.

What do I do if I’m running late?
Simply change your scheduled estimated time of arrival in the myMBRL app. We won’t take the items anywhere until you indicate in the app you’ve arrived. You can also use the app to cancel your click and collect if something’s come up, or call the library to let us know

Where can I collect my items from?
Each library has a designated Click and Collect pick-up spot that will vary depending on your chosen library. Pick-up spots are marked with our blue and white ‘Click and Collect’ signs and often nearby the library entrance.

Click and Collect is available from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays and during standard opening hours on weekends.

How will I know when my items are ready to collect?
As usual, we will notify you via email or SMS when your items are ready to collect. When your reservations have the ‘ready for pickup’ status below their title on the app, this is when you’ll be able to use the Click and Collect feature.

Can I still use Click and Collect if I don’t have the myMBRL app?
Yes, you can still enjoy convenient and contactless collection by calling or emailing any Moreton Bay Region Library and letting us know your reading preferences. Our staff will select a mix of books just for you and arrange collection using your preferred method of contact.

Can I return my items to any library?
Yes, you can return your borrowed items to any Moreton Bay Region Library either in the library or by using the external return chutes.

How will my Click and Collect order be packed?
Your items will be placed in a brown paper bag and placed at the designated pick-up location at the branch you have chosen.
