Art Time for Toddlers occurs every Tuesday from 10:30 AM - 11:15 AM.

Attendance is free - bookings encouraged but walk-ins welcome!

This 45-minute session is designed for toddlers and their grown-ups, combining sensory play, art-making, and tactile exploration to spark curiosity and learning.

Children will sing, dance, create, and play in the gallery, with activities inspired by our current exhibition. Each month brings fresh ideas to explore, and all activities are easy to replicate at home using accessible, low-cost materials.

Pine Rivers Art Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

February | Kinetic abstraction 

Inspired by current exhibition Imperfect Pattern, this month toddlers will explore art in motion through colour, swirling shapes, and playful mark-making. Little artists will experiment with rolling, spinning, and sweeping motions to make abstract masterpieces, all while engaging their senses and having fun.

March | All wrapped up 

Inspired by tsutsumu (wrapping) the technique featured in current exhibition We Hunt Mammoth, this session invites toddlers to explore the joy of wrapping and winding. Little hands will transform everyday objects into whacky wrapped objects, using colourful yarn and string to create their own unique wrapped treasures.

April | From mammoths to motors 

Throughout April, toddlers are invited to start their creative engines at Art time for Toddlers! Dive into modes of transport, prehistoric and modern, before making a unique vehicle using cardboard and collage materials inspired by current exhibition We Hunt Mammoth.
