The Hub Gallery exhibition space
The Hub Gallery is a professional exhibition space next to the Caboolture Regional Art Gallery. It provides a space for emerging and established artists to showcase their art.
Become an exhibiting artist
Artists can apply to exhibit their artwork at The Hub Gallery through an annual process.
Successful applications will receive:
- a four-week exhibition period
- vinyl signage of the exhibition title, artist name and dates of the exhibition
- digital promotion on Council’s website
- the opportunity to host an exhibition opening event.
Eligibility criteria
Applications for exhibitions are open to creatives from all arts disciplines. This includes painting, drawing, photography, installation, sculpture, and multimedia.
We invite applications from:
- artists living within City of Moreton Bay
- artists living outside City of Moreton Bay, but have connections to the city
- artists living outside the city whose portfolios are relevant to the communities City of Moreton Bay
- local schools and art groups or collectives.
We encourage young people, First Nations peoples, and artists from diverse backgrounds to apply.

Responsibilities for exhibiting artists
- Providing ready-to-hang artworks for the exhibition space, for example, D-rings on 2D artworks.
- Delivery and collection of the artwork to and from the gallery.
- Working with staff to prepare the space for the exhibition.
- Attending the installation of the artworks in the exhibition space.
- Providing promotional images to include on Council’s website.
- Providing the didactic label information before the exhibition.
- If artworks are for sale, gallery staff will forward enquiries to the artist to handle.
- Promotion of the exhibition to your networks through your own channels.
- Developing and printing any extra promotional materials for the exhibition. For example, DL flyers and posters.
- Organising an exhibition opening, if desired, including arranging catering, invitations and speeches.
Responsibilities of Hub Gallery
- Installing the exhibition, including printing and installation of artwork labels and vinyl signage.
- Opening and closing the gallery space and ensuring it is clean and visitor-ready.
- Taking visitor enquiries and offering further information about the artist and artworks.
- Council will publicise and promote the exhibition and events via our website. Adding to Council's social media and newsletters is not guaranteed.
About the exhibition space
This versatile space has hosted a wide variety of exhibitions. It has 28 linear wall metres and a floor area of 34 square metres. There's a wall track with a movable wall as indicated in the floor plan.
There's one concrete wall on a hanging track, and there are four walls that artists can affix to. Plinths, display stands and magnets are available upon request. There are also some technological items, like TV screens and headphones.

Total linear measurement is twenty-five and four metres. The wall height is three metres. The movable wall width is two metres, and its height is three metres.
