kau-in kau-in blood blood presents recently acquired and existing work from the City of Moreton Bay Art Collection by Judy Watson.
Across textile, video and printmaking the works draw attention to underrepresented histories of Australia and the enduring presence of First Nations people and culture.
Judy Watson is a renowned multidisciplinary artist with connections to Waanyi Country of north-west Queensland. Born in Mundubbera and now based in Brisbane, Watson has exhibited extensively within Australia and internationally. Through her multidisciplinary practice she brings awareness to Australia’s complex history of colonialism and its ongoing impacts.
kau-in kau-in blood blood is the third exhibition in the Art Collection in Focus series, a program of exhibitions that focus on a single artist from the City of Moreton Bay Art Collection.
