Remnants of the Past

24 Feb 2024 - 27 Apr 2024

Three houses painted with trees artwork

Kate Douglas is an Ipswich-based artist who paints the built and natural landscape.

Remnants of the past is an exhibition of Douglas' latest works.

Using unique compositions and viewpoints, Douglas reflects on Queensland's rich heritage.

The exhibition will feature new works that consider the history of the Moreton Bay region.

Through her works, Douglas combines fiction and reality. She encourages discussions about nostalgia and offers an imaginary step back in time.

This project is supported by the Queensland Government and Ipswich City Council. The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is a partnership between Queensland Government and Ipswich City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

Redcliffe Art Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
