Join Paul Bong in this immersive workshop learning the process of creating a linocut print from start to finish.
Paul Bong (Bindur Bullin) is a Yidinji artist and master printmaker from North Queensland.
Over four hours, Paul will guide participants through the fundamentals of linocut printmaking; from design and carving to inking and hand-pressing your own prints.
Paul brings decades of professional printing experience to his workshop as well as cultural storytelling and a deep connection to traditional practice. His artistic process incorporates traditional designs with contemporary techniques, exploring heritage, identity and resistance.
All materials and afternoon tea will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring reference images to assist with the design process.
Cost $30 - bookings essential. For adults.
