Workshop: Affirmation banners with Sunday Jemmott
Next date: Saturday, 13 June 2026 | 01:30 PM
to 03:30 PM
Join artist Sunday Jemmott in a guided workshop exploring the nostalgia of participation ribbons through textile art.
This workshop aims to rekindle the nostalgia of childhood participation ribbons through a bespoke textile artwork.
Sunday will show you how to create your own decorative banner using various fabrics and colourful decorative elements.
Taking inspiration from the participation ribbons we received as children at sporting carnivals, each banner will use text to turn our mundane achievements into something wonderful.
Cost $25.00 - bookings essential. There is no sewing experience required to take part in this workshop.
About the artist
