Winner of the Landscape Category in our exhibition Nature Photographer of the Year, Darren Wassell offers guidance, hints and expertise in the art of capturing majestic storm shots.

Sat 10 October | Macro photography: The hidden world on our coastline with Fuschia Darling

Through stunning macro underwater photography, discover a miniature world of vibrant colours, intricate patterns and remarkable marine life that most people never notice.

Sat 14 November | Introduction to bird photography with Peter O'Brien

Peter O'Brien will take you on a journey into the world of birds and bird photography.

He showcases examples of his photography, special techniques and provides hands-on demonstrations and advice during this talk. Bring your camera!

Sat 12 December | Snake identification talk with Stuart McKenzie

Stuart McKenzie from Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers will take you through all things slithery - the carpet, the red-bellied, the brown and the whip.

Learn about these majestic creatures and how to identify what’s what in your backyard.

Sat 9 January | Cyanotype workshop (2 sessions)

Make art whilst the sun shines! This workshop provides you with the history of cyanotype printing, practical demonstrations and you can decorate your own tote bag to take home.

Sat 13 February | Echidna presentation with Dr Kate Dutton-Regester

UQ lecturer Dr Kate Dutton-Regester delivers an informative presentation on our favourite spiky monotreme, the echidna. Find out more about these shy animals, their habits and how we can help their survival.
