Attention all fruit lovers! June is Pineapple Month at Pine Rivers Heritage Museum.
Join us in celebrating our local agricultural history and explore a pinetastic collection dedicated to this iconic tropical fruit! On display will be a selection of farm tools and unique pineapple inspired decorations.
This spikey fruit was once farmed across many parts of Pine Rivers region. The last farm, located on Samsonvale Road in Strathpine, harvested its final crop in 2019. The area is now fittingly named Pineapple Farm Park.
The display is available during museum opening hours, Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 3:00PM.
