Roast, ragu or raita? A tasty exhibition about how we cook, eat and think about food. Explore the evolution of Australian food culture that reflects the everchanging diversity of our society and the people who call Australia home. From an abundance of native ingredients to waves of imported influences, Australian food continues to reinvent itself. Lift the lid on food in all its flavours!
Join us at the official opening of the exhibition and begin your exploration of Australian food culture at its very beginning.
Taste native Australian food flavours as you see, touch and smell their ingredients. Aunty Dale Chapman, a Kooma, Yuwaalaraay woman from central Queensland, chef at First Food Co and author of cookbook Coo-ee Cuisine, will guide your experience. For more information, visit the event’s site.
