Oh the fun we had!

During the late 1800s and early 1900s, life could be tough. People faced many challenges building homes, working the land and raising families in early townships. This didn’t stop people having fun. Sports were played, picnics were enjoyed and the local community halls became a popular place for entertainment.

Visit ‘The Parlour’ and play some old fashioned games. Try your hand at croquet. Watch a film, or have a dance in the hall. Oh the fun we had! explores recreational and entertaining activities of the past through a series of interactive displays.

Exhibition developed by Moreton Bay Regional Council.
