The future is - workshop with Merinda Davies

Join artist Merinda Davies in a process of world-building – listening with, writing with, moving with and thinking with the environment inside and outside the Pine Rivers Art Gallery.  

Re-orienting our perspective towards interspecies thinking, we will recreate a collective map of the site.

We will speculate on an alternative dream-scape through conversation, mapping and hands-on making. This will enable us to dig into questions of intimacy and connection with humans and other beings as we face an uncertain future. 

This workshop utilises: 

• Somatic exploration of time,
• Writing exercises as a way to imagine the future.
• Futuring tools eg Futures Cone Tree. 
• Working collaboratively to world-build - in conversation and writing.

This workshop may include movement, writing, drawing, listening, smelling, touching. Everyone is invited, everything is optional, no experience in dance/writing/drawing etc is required.

Cost $25.00 - bookings required.
