Creative Space: Sideshow alley

Next date: Sunday, 08 November 2026 | 10:00 PM to Saturday, 30 January 2027 | 04:00 PM

Step right up, step right up! Enter the vibrant world of artist Joe Furlonger, where creativity somersaults to life through movement, play, storytelling, and imagination.

Inspired by the colour, energy, and movement of the exhibition Circus, Sideshow alley invites visitors of all ages to gather their troupe and step into the ring. Explore a nostalgic, fun-filled creative space where performers, dreamers, and curious minds can discover the wonder and excitement of circus life.

Through hands-on activities, let your imagination transport you to the famous Circus d’Hiver in Paris. Step into the shoes of a travelling performer and create a unique postcard describing the sights, sounds, and adventures of life under the big top. Then unleash your inner showperson by designing your own circus poster, complete with bold colours and dazzling acts.

If you were a circus performer, who would you be? A trapeze artist soaring above the crowd? A juggler keeping dozens of objects in motion? Perhaps a mischievous clown spreading laughter with every squeaky step.

Whatever role you choose, let creativity take centre stage. The show is about to begin!

Pine Rivers Art Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
