In The Trial, Kylie Harries explores growing up in Mount Isa during the 1980s.

Through her artwork she reveals childhood memories and reflections on the high-profile case of Lindy Chamberlain who also lived in Mount Isa at the time.

Using firsthand experience and witness reports, Harries confronts and documents her recollections of these events. She considers their effects and connects them to forgotten stories of significant women.

Through contemporary views on media scrutiny of women, systemic injustice and the persistence of gendered persecution, The Trial extends beyond biography into an archival and cultural investigation.
