Welcome to The Creative Studio! Inspired by The Tucker portraits and Albert Tucker’s photographic and painting practice.

These hands-on activities will help develop your artistic process as you combine elements of people and landscapes to create artwork from the materials provided.

Check out the community wall for creations of other visitors and add your own to inspire others.

24 October – 23 December: Memory collage

Think about your favourite memory. Was it a fun moment with family, or exploring with friends? What did you see? Who was with you? Look through the collected photos and use them to create a collage about how the memory makes you feel.

2 January – 27 February 2027: Re-imaging

Take a close look at the photos on the wall. Consider the details, lines, shapes, and colours to engage your inner artist and recreate these photos in your own style. What parts of the images will you draw upon, and what will you reimagine?

24 October 2026 – 27 February 2027: Art investigator

The popular activity makes its return! Examine the artworks on display closely and find them all to receive a sticker prize. Can you collect them all?

The Tucker portraitsis a Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh) touring exhibition supported by City of Monash, Creative Victoria and the Albert and Barbara Tucker Foundation. Curated by Anouska Phizacklea, MAPh Director.
