Join a new local creative group at Caboolture Regional Art Gallery.

Art Teens is a safe and inclusive space for young adults to come together and explore different ways of making and creative pathways.

Each 4th Friday of the month we will have discussions unpacking the world of art, get hands on with making processes and have a chill afternoon of creativity.

Free - bookings essential. Ages 12-17.

Friday 27 March | Stencil and paint 

Take inspiration from street art and create vibrant abstract paintings using stencils and layering techniques. At the end of this session, you will have your own unique painting to take home.

Friday 24 April | Soft sculpture

In the age of Labubu’s, Squishmallow’s and Jelly Cat’s, how can we transform plushies into art through soft sculpture? In this session, we will step outside the box and use textiles to create your own sculptural object.

Friday 22 May | Clay 101

Explore how to make clay vessels through pinching and coiling techniques as you discover the basics of clay. We will learn about the tools and how you can translate these skills at home.

Friday 26 June | Sustainable practice

With growing concerns on the current climate crisis, artists are reusing resources or opting for sustainable materials. Be inspired by these creatives and play with unexpected combinations of materials to create a mixed media collage. 

Parent and guardian information

Art Teens is strictly for teens aged 12-17 years. You may be required to present an acceptable proof of age ID to enter the event. 

Caboolture Regional Art Gallery is closed to the general public during this event, with registered attendees in attendance only. 

This event is a parent/guardian free event. Gallery staff will be available to support attendees and supervise the event. If a parent, guardian or adult carer needs to accompany a teen for accessibility reasons, they are welcome to do so. 

If attendees wish to leave the event before 5:45 PM, they will need to check out by confirming their transportation plans with gallery staff.
