Out of the Blue

Out of the Blue is an environmental success story. The health of the oceans and their wildlife have long been affected by ‘ghost gear’ - lost or abandoned fishing nets, pots, and other fishing gear.

A grassroots project that began in Far North Queensland has made inroads into removing and repurposing discarded fishing gear from our oceans. Hear the stories, see the art that was made, and understand how this is a story that everyone can be part of.

Exhibition developed by Moreton Bay Regional Council, in collaboration with GhostNets Australia.
