Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind

Ever wondered what it would be like to sneak a peek below the ocean’s surface on the Great Barrier Reef, or to venture farther afield to the Florida Keys or a remote coral key in the Pacific Ocean? Imagine coming face to face with a manta ray, or a school of bumphead parrotfish amongst the underwater wreck of a ship as if you were a fish.

Developed by Australian charity, Underwater Earth, Out of Sight, Out of Mind is an interactive ocean exhibition that educates and inspires. It uses art, storytelling and Virtual Diving technology to create positive change.

The exhibition has been designed to reveal how curious and diverse life is under the waves. It reminds us of the importance of the ocean, the issues it faces, and the critical work being done to protect it.

This exhibition is curated by Lorna Parry using imagery by underwater photographer, Christophe Bailhache.

Bribie Island Seaside Museum is open from Wednesday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, and Saturday to Sunday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
