Teenagers and older participants can create fantastical mechanisms with local sculptor Geoff Ginn in these school holiday workshops.

Geoff is a lifelong learner and teacher and this workshop honours the life, inventions and creations of Leonardo da Vinci, on show in the Da Vinci Machines exhibition.

The workshop will allow participants aged 14 and over to work with discarded technology of today and yesteryear to create a mechanism or sculpture for the future.

Completed mechanisms may not be working prototypes but will be something to admire. Each participant will have a small sculpture or mechanism to take home to inspire future creativity and innovative thinking.

The Da Vinci Machines exhibition is about the fascinating world of the renaissance period and Leonardo da Vinci’s many creations. It is on tour from the Museum of Leonardo da Vinci in Florence, Italy, and showcases Da Vinci's most iconic inventions, meticulously constructed from his original sketches.

Free. Workshop places are limited - bookings essential.

Bribie Island Seaside Museum is open from Wednesday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, and Saturday to Sunday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
