Art Social at Pine Rivers Art Gallery

Art Social is a monthly opportunity for creativity at Pine Rivers Art Gallery.

One Saturday a month, you’re invited to explore a new method, technique, or way of artmaking. Each session begins with a guided tour of current exhibitions.

These workshops aim to activate your creative thinking and willingness to experiment in a relaxed, social setting.

No experience is needed. All materials are supplied.

Pine Rivers Art Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Saturday 21 November | Life drawing with Joe Furlonger

Step into the vibrant world of Circus with an inspiring two-hour life drawing workshop led by acclaimed artist Joe Furlonger at Pine Rivers Art Gallery.

Drawing from the energy, movement and character celebrated in the exhibition, participants will sketch a clothed model while exploring expressive approaches to line, form and observation. Through a series of engaging exercises, Joe will encourage you to loosen your mark-making, sharpen your observational skills and capture the spirit and personality of each pose.

Whether you're an experienced artist or a curious beginner, this artist-led workshop offers a unique opportunity to develop your drawing practice in a creative and welcoming environment.

Make a day of it and join us for the exhibition opening event beforehand, featuring a special exhibition discussion with Joe and light refreshments. Then continue the experience in this hands-on workshop that celebrates drawing, performance and the spectacle of the circus.
