How do I make a booking?
Booking an event
We aim to make booking events at MSEC as hassle free as possible. Firstly, complete an online enquiry form and include your preferred date. Alternatively you can complete a booking form and send it directly to the bookings team. The MSEC bookings team will check that your preferred date is free. From there you will be required to complete and send in a booking form and all relevant documentation. A booking estimate will be provided and a pre-event meeting date and time will be booked in. Your event will be confirmed once payment is finalised. One of our MSEC staff will contact you to talk about your event and provide all the necessary information. We aim to make booking a space at MSEC as hassle free as possible. Firstly, contact MSEC to check that your preferred date is free. From there you will be required to complete a booking form and send in relevant documentation. Once all documentation has been received your dates and times will be reviewed. Do I need to provide public liability insurance?
Yes, all booking coordinators are required to provide a copy of their current public liability insurance as well as complete the MSEC site induction.

What is a risk assessment and do I need to complete one?
All hirers must complete a comprehensive risk assessment assessing all potential risks and activities that you plan to undertake during your booking. A template will be provided by MSEC bookings team and this must be completed and returned with the booking application form. The risk assessment form will be reviewed prior to approving your booking request.

Do I need to provide first aid for my booking?
Council does not provide first aid equipment. The hirer is responsible for providing qualified first aid officers at all times. Access to the facility will not be permitted until the designated first aid officer has signed in. The designated first aid officer must remain onsite at Morayfield Sport and Event Centre at all times throughout the duration of your booking.

Do I need to attend a pre-booking meeting?
Yes, A pre-booking meeting is required onsite with centre management prior to all bookings to determine the scope and suitability of your booking and activities. Events may require additional site meetings dependent on the size and scope of your event.

I need to amend/cancel my booking, what do I do?
A booking amendment form needs to be submitted to MSEC bookings team 30 days prior to the booking date. This form includes cancellation or reduction to a booking. Booking amendments will be considered at the discretion of centre management and are subject to management approval. If less than the minimum notice periods are given, Council may apply a cancellation fee and/or retain the full amount of the hire fees. Additions to an existing booking will be subject to availability and at management discretion.

What are the venue hire rules I need to adhere to?
It is a requirement of booking at MSEC that all bookings coordinators read the Conditions of hire. There may also be additional venue rules that will be communicated by MSEC staff.

Can I fundraise in the venue?
Fundraising activities are subject to prior written consent from centre management and are permitted only in event hire.

Can I have signage in the venue?
Signage and advertising activities are subject to prior written consent from centre management and are permitted only in event hire.

Do you provide sporting equipment?
MSEC provides fixed sporting equipment such as:
- basketball hoops
- netball poles
- volleyball nets and towers
- futsal nets.
Equipment such as balls, whistles, ball pumps and cones are not be provided, users must supply their own.

Can I store my equipment at MSEC?
No - MSEC do not have storage options for users. Storage areas are permitted for internal use only.

Is MSEC wheelchair accessible?
MSEC has been developed to ensure that people with a disability are able to access and enjoy our facility. The venue has accessible car parks, entrance ways, toilet and shower facilities.

Can I bring glass to MSEC?
No - the entire site of MSEC is glass free, this is for the safety of all visiting the venue.

Can I bring food to MSEC?
You can bring limited outside snacks and sealed water bottles to MSEC. The following will NOT be permitted:
- metal (cutlery, etc)
- alcohol
- thermos flasks
- hot food/drink
- large coolers/eskies/picnic baskets
- any form of glass (bottles, containers, etc).
Some events may have other restrictions so if you are unsure, contact MSEC bookings team.

Can I smoke at MSEC?
MSEC is a non-smoking venue including the courts, café area and event spaces. In accordance with Queensland Government policy, smoking is permitted only in the designated outdoor smoking areas. Anyone caught smoking outside of a designated area may be subject to spot fines.

Can I bring my own alcohol to MSEC?
No - MSEC is liquor licensed and any liquor bought into the venue will be confiscated and may be subject to spot fines.

Is there accommodation close to MSEC?
There are a number of accommodation providers in close proximity to MSEC. Visit City of Moreton Bay website to find accommodation in Morayfield, Caboolture, North Lakes, Redcliffe, Bribie Island and the wider Moreton Bay region.

Are there public transport links to MSEC?
The Morayfield train station is approximately 1.6km from MSEC. A bus stop is located 600m from MSEC on Morayfield Road. Some events will arrange connecting shuttle buses. Check What's on for more information.

Do you have ATMs?
No. There is no ATM within the venue and there is no cash out from the café. Eftpos facilities are available.
