How to Look Good in Shorts: short story writing workshop

Short-story writing is an art unto itself. Author Karenlee Thompson facilitates this half day workshop designed to provide aspiring short story writers with the tools to source ideas and turn them into captivating short stories suitable for publication or competition entry. Participants will have the opportunity to work on character development and experiment with structure, style and tone, writing passages which can be critiqued and edited by other participants.

Participants can expect to:

  • Gain a greater understanding of the many forms of short fiction
  • Create believable characters
  • Know where to start and where to end
  • Gain confidence
  • Begin to understand potential publishing opportunities.
