MBRC Planning Scheme
The MBRC Planning Scheme was adopted by Council on 24 November 2015 and commenced on 1 February 2016. The new planning scheme supports growth and maintains the region’s unique characteristics and, for the first time since amalgamation, sets a clear vision for development in the amalgamated Moreton Bay region.
The MBRC Planning Scheme supersedes the Caboolture ShirePlan, PineRiversPlan and Redcliffe City Planning Scheme.
On 14 June 2016, Council adopted an administrative and minor amendment to the MBRC Planning Scheme.

The MBRC Planning Scheme has been prepared in accordance with
the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 and reflects the
standard planning scheme provisions (Queensland Planning
Provisions, version 4.0).
The planning scheme was approved for adoption on 16
November 2015 by the Deputy Premier and Minister for
Transport, Minister for Infrastructure, Local Government and
Planning and Minister for Trade, Jackie Trad MP. In providing her approval [PDF 615KB] the Deputy Premier advised that
Council had satisfied various state interests and met all of the
requirements of 04/14 Statutory Guideline for Making and Amending
Local Planning Instruments.
