Parking permits

A parking permit allows for a nominated vehicle to park longer than permitted in a signed parking area, 1P or greater. There are four types of permits available: resident, community service organisation, temporary or special events and work zone.

Permit conditions

The following conditions apply to all types of parking permits.

The parking permit:

  • is the responsibility of the applicant and must match the registration details of the vehicle to be valid
  • must be clearly displayed kerb-side and unobstructed on the dashboard of the registered vehicle at all times
  • must not be reproduced, copied, defaced, altered or destroyed
  • is valid until the date of expiry, unless withdrawn by Council, and is non-transferable
  • does not guarantee an on-street parking space at any time
  • is subject to other such conditions that may be imposed by Council
  • does not allow a vehicle to park illegally

Misuse may result in this permit being withdrawn or deemed invalid.

Penalties for misuse may apply.

The parking permit is only valid for the nominated vehicle to park longer than permitted in nominated signed parking area, 1P or greater.
