The Redcliffe Foreshore Master Plan and Activation Strategy was endorsed by Council in October 2017 following extensive consultation with residents, visitors and local businesses.
Community consultation included survey, online feedback, public displays, local business forums and targeted stakeholder engagements. Throughout this process, the overwhelming message to council was that people wanted to see more pop-up vendors and activations along foreshore precincts.

Accordingly, the master plan and activation strategy aims to increase visitation to, and activation of the Redcliffe peninsula’s foreshore parklands. It seeks to create new opportunities for entertainment, food and tourism ventures along popular foreshore areas of the Redcliffe peninsula.
Earlier this month council took its first step towards realising this new vision by approving the expansion of the popular Redcliffe Jetty Markets. The expansion from Baker Street to the Anzac Avenue roundabout, will almost double the floor space and include new market stalls, street eats and entertainment areas. It will help to support growth of one of our region’s biggest tourism drawcards, which already attracts more than 7000 people each week.
Redcliffe Foreshore Activation Pilot Program (trial)
Council will now launch a Redcliffe Foreshore Activation Pilot Program (trial) from mid-2018 to activate a number of foreshore sites across the peninsula that were identified in the master plan.
The trial sites include site-specific conditions regulating their use, including the type of activity and operating hours.

Council will be actively seeking feedback during the course of the trial which runs to the end of September 2018.
Expression of Interest for pilot program (trial)
Council is currently seeking expressions of interest for vendors interested in participating in the pilot program (trial). Council will consider applications from fixed and mobile vendors which may include fitness groups, pop up stalls that display, hire or sell goods/services as well as food trucks.
For more information about taking part in the trial, view the Application Guide and lodge your expression of interest before 24 April 2018.
