Mount Samson Road has been reopened as at Friday 7 December 2018.
Council are undertaking urgent road and drainage works along Mount Samson Road, Samsonvale. The nature of these works has resulted in Mount Samson Road being closed to all vehicular traffic with detours in place.
The scope of works will include:
- Bulk earthworks
- Stormwater drainage installation
- Gravel pavement construction
- Asphalt surfacing
Construction works will commence Monday 29 October 2018, works are expected to be complete by 14 December 2018, weather permitting. Current traffic detours will remain in place while these works are undertaken.
Updates on this project will be provided each Monday and Thursday for the duration of these works.

Construction works on Mount Samson Road are complete. As
at 4pm today (7/12) Mount Samson Road was reopened to all vehicular
traffic. Detours have been cancelled and signage removed from

Update #11 - 6 December 2018
Works on Mount Samson Road are nearing completion, the section of excavated road pavement and drainage infrastructure has been reinstated and pavement sealing works were completed Wednesday 5 December. Road Line marking and site clean-up works are scheduled for tomorrow (Friday 7 December 2018 ) with the road expected to be reopened to vehicular traffic by late afternoon.
