Description

Conveniently located in the heart of North Lakes Town Centre and opposite the North Lakes Bus Interchange, this fully air conditioned community centre is ideal for functions, expos, meetings and community activities. With an elevated position on Level 2, the community centre includes a large hall equipped with a commercial kitchen, boardroom, two meeting rooms and an activity room as well as a large communal terrace with tables and chairs.

This facility is available for hire between 6.00am and midnight.

This community centre is a self-service model. The hirer is responsible for set-up, pack-down and cleaning.

Note: Swipe cards for accessing the venue are available for collection two business days prior to the commencement of the booking and are to be returned on the first business day following the conclusion of the hire. Swipe cards must be collected from any of the following Customer Service Centres.

  • Redcliffe Customer Service Centre, 1 Irene Street, Redcliffe
  • Caboolture Customer Service Centre, Hasking Street, Caboolture (access from the Town Square)
  • Strathpine Customer Service Centre, 220 Gympie Road, Strathpine (access from Hall Street)

Toilets are located off the main foyer and there is a baby change table in the accessible toilet.

With the exception of the activity room, rooms have AV equipment or laptop connectivity.

Venue inspections

Council provides prospective hirers with one complimentary inspection prior to booking. Prospective hirers wanting to undertake additional inspections may only do so when other inspections are being conducted. Inspections are conducted between 8.00.am and 4.30pm business days, subject to the venue availability and by appointment only.

    Bookings

    Bookings for this facility are managed by Moreton Bay Regional Council.

    Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. However, to ensure the centre is available for community use and one off events, each hirer of the hall is permitted a maximum of six weekend bookings per financial year and each hirer of the Activity Room, Board Room or meetings rooms is permitted a maximum of twelve weekend bookings per financial year. A weekend booking is from 5.00pm Friday through to midnight the following Sunday.

    How to book

    Booking requests are required at least one week prior to the requested hire date. A minimum of two hours’ hire applies to all bookings. Bookings can be requested up to one year in advance.

    Council may charge a refundable bond in case of damage to the facility. Use the bond estimate calculator
