Drum beats - Albany Creek

Person playing a drum

In many cultures, music is part of daily life. In fact, it is the very fabric that holds communities together. Drum beats taps into this rich tradition of using music and rhythm to unite, excite and bring people together.

During this session, you'll be given drums or percussion instruments to play and get to enjoy an exhilarating rhythmic adventure. Surprise and fun reign supreme as you discover the fabulous percussive ensemble you can create through drumming, voices and other percussive instruments.

What to expect:

  • relaxed atmosphere to learn beats as a group
  • a teaching method that requires no previous drumming ability.

What to bring:

  • water
  • a sunhat for outdoor venues
  • comfortable clothes.
