ReadUp program

ReadUp is Moreton Bay Region Libraries’ signature incentive program to encourage children and young people to read. Reading is an essential skill for everyone. It is the vital foundation of a child’s learning and engagement in their school years and for life.

Visit our libraries, borrow from the library collection and earn stamps to collect reading certificates. Grow a reader with ReadUp!

Who is ReadUp for?

ReadUp is for young members of Moreton Bay Region Libraries.

If your child is not a member, you can register them online now

How do I join ReadUp?

  • Visit your nearest library and ask to join ReadUp.
  • Your child will receive a ReadUp card, which has spaces for six stamps.
  • Your child can collect a stamp every time they visit the library and borrow from the collection.
  • When your child has six stamps, they can choose a reading certificate.

We have a range of certificates to choose from. Some feature beautiful artworks by leading Australian picture book illustrators. Plus, ReadUp members are invited to a special celebration of their achievements at the end of the year!

What if my child is not reading yet?

Your child can still join ReadUp. Reading to children is the best way to start a love of reading and great literacy skills from the beginning.

50 Books to Read Before You’re 5 is just a small selection of new and old favourites.

Looking for more reading challenges? Join our Summer Reading Club from 1 December to 31 January each year.
