Policies

Policy is a statement of strategic intent; it provides Council with a structured framework for consistent and transparent decision-making and actions. Policy demonstrates to the community the position and intent Council will take with regard to an issue identified in the Corporate Plan.

Council Policies are made by resolution of Council and appear on the website for general public viewing. It is a policy statement made at the highest level and assists in the achievement of the Corporate Plan’s objectives. It is generally outwardly focused and will have a direct impact on the community.

Building

Amenity & Aesthetics - Impact of Proposed Building Work

To identify forms of building work that Council considers may have an extremely adverse effect on the amenity or character of the locality in which the work is proposed to be carried out.

Giving of Medication [Pine Rivers district]

The objective of this policy is to outline the basis and extent of any assistance with medication which will be given by staff employed in Council’s Disability Program, Respite Services Aged Care to client of those services.

Security for Building Work

  To ensure sufficient security is retained by Council for the completion of building work in relation to a nominated building or structure. 


 

Community

Allocation Of Sporting Fields And Council Facilities [Redcliffe district]

This policy outlines the considerations for the equitable, efficient and effective allocation of Council facilities to community, sporting and private groups.

Art Collection Management, Acquisitions and Exhibitions Policy

To establish a framework for the management of Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Art Collection and Exhibition programs. 

Care and Education Programs at Birralee [Pine Rivers district]

This policy details how Council, through the Birralee Child Care Centre and its care providers, seeks to provide children with experiences and opportunities to support the learning and development of children so they can develop to their full potential.

Child Health in Children's Services [Pine Rivers district]

The objective of this Policy is to ensure that children have ongoing access in the district to a healthy environment in order to facilitate optimum development.

Child Protection and Wellbeing in Family Day Care [Pine Rivers district]

The aim of this policy is to define the principles under which the Family Day Care programs will be managed to meet legislative requirements of the Child Care Act 2002 and associated Regulations.

Child Safety in Children's Services [Pine Rivers district]

The objective of this Policy is to articulate the principles under which the Children’s Services programs will be operated and managed to meet the requirements of the Child Care Act 2002.

Community Banner Poles

To provide opportunities for community organisations and units of Council to advertise community events and sporting activities which promote a healthy and active lifestyle.

Community Engagement

Establish a framework to guide Council's community engagement processes and activities

Community Grants

The objective of this policy is to set out the eligibility requirements and assessment procedures for the Moreton Bay Regional Council Community Grants Program. 

Community Leasing Policy

To ensure the equitable and appropriate allocation of tenure over Council owned or controlled land and facilities to community organisations, for conducting activities that benefit the community, whilst recognising the importance of the role played by these organisations. 

Council Consent to, or Endorsement of, Applications for Liquor Licences or Permits over Council Owned or Controlled Premises

The objective of this policy is to provide a consistent, transparent and socially responsible approach to Council’s endorsement of liquor licence and permit applications from community organisations over Council owned or controlled premises.

In-Kind Support to Community Groups

To provide guidelines for assistance to community groups and to establish the basis on which in-kind support will be provided to community groups; and the scope of in-kind support that Council is prepared to provide to community groups.

Leases and Licences for the Purpose of Community Use [Pine Rivers district]

The purpose of the policy is to provide optimal use of the land and buildings and to maximize community benefit. The purpose of the lease/licence is to formalise tenure arrangements between Council as the land holder and user groups, so that business may be conducted in an orderly manner.

Mayor’s Regional and Councillors’ Community Support Fund

The objective of this policy is to actively support community organisations to make a positive contribution to community wellbeing and the cultural life of the region by recognising and supporting initiatives that respond to community need.

Multicultural [Redcliffe district]

The purpose of the Redcliffe Multicultural policy is to ensure that the Council’s operations are sensitive to the needs of people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and to promote the principles of respect, shared responsibility, equal opportunity, access and celebration as they relate to multiculturalism in Redcliffe.

Museum Collection Management, Acquisition and Exhibitions Policy

To establish a framework for the management of Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Museum Collection and Exhibition Programs.

Park Contribution Policy - Local Planning Policy [Pine Rivers district]

This policy outlines the conditions required for a development approval for reconfiguring a park lot.

Remission of Development Fees

Support to non profit community organisations and charitable groups who provide a valuable service to the community, through a remission of fees and charges associated with the cost of development undertaken for the organisation and its core activities.

Volunteers of Council

To guide the recruitment and management of those volunteers undertaking a role on behalf of Moreton Bay Regional Council and to make the volunteering experience a valuable and rewarding one for all.

Young People in the Library [Pine Rivers district]

The objective of this policy is to provide an outline of the Library Service’s duty of care to, and the discipline, supervision and safety of, young people visiting Pine Rivers Shire Council Library Services and an outline of parental or guardian responsibilities for young people using the Library Service.


 

Compliance

Noise Attenuation on Residential Land [Pine Rivers district]

This policy aims to provide information to registered proprietors of residential lots about traffic noise levels.

Park Contribution Policy - Local Planning Policy [Pine Rivers district]

This policy outlines the conditions required for a development approval for reconfiguring a park lot.

Pesticide Use

To provide a consistent standard for the use of pesticides by the Moreton Bay Regional Council in its operations.

Use Of Showgrounds - Scouting, Guide Groups Etc [Redcliffe district]

This policy states the Council's position with regard to free use of the showgrounds for certain youth organisations.


 

Environment

Cemeteries - Region Wide

Set down guidelines defining relevant criteria for the management and administration of Council owned cemeteries.

Climate Change

To provide leadership and work in partnership with the community to raise awareness of climate change and better manage local greenhouse gas emissions.

Contributions for Implementing Stabilisation and Environmental Measures to Drainage Features - Kingfisher Creek Catchment [Pine Rivers district]

This policy aims to implement stabilisation and environmental measures to drainage features in the Kingfisher Creek catchment.

Environmental Policy [Redcliffe district]

The Council is committed to ensuring that all of its services and activities are conducted in an environmentally responsible manner. Further, the Council will incorporate the principles of ecologically sustainable development into its management and planning systems and decision-making processes, to ensure the City’s environmental values and resource efficiency improves over time.

Integrated Environmental Management System [Redcliffe district]

This policy outlines the Council's commitment to the development, implementation and maintenance of an Integrated Environmental Management System (IEMS) to achieve environmental responsibility.

Koala Conservation

To address the Draft South East Queensland Koala Conservation State Planning Policy.

Pine Rivers Reforestation Projects [Pine Rivers district]

This policy outlines how Council will endeavour to provide practical support to community initiated tree planting projects on Council owned or controlled land.

Propagation and Use of Native and Endemic Plants [Pine Rivers district]

This policy aims to contribute to achieve biodiversity of Pine Rivers districts natural biodiversity by actively encouraging the planting of native, endemic or indigenous species.

Sustainability

To consolidate Council’s strategic commitment to sustainability in the region and to ensure sustainability is embedded into day to day decision making. We will achieve this by continually improving our performance and working with others to improve performance in the wider community.

Trees in Anzac Avenue, Kallangur [Pine Rivers district]

It is Council’s policy to maintain the original intent of ANZAC Avenue as a tree lined memorial avenue.

Vegetation Management on Reserves [Redcliffe district]

This policy has been developed to provide a framework for appropriate plantings on public road reserves and foreshore reserves, their proper maintenance and the removal of trees, shrubs and garden beds on these areas within Redcliffe City.


 

Finance

2013/14 Revenue Policy

Under the Act, (section 104) and the Regulation, (section 193) the Council must prepare a Revenue Policy each financial year that complies with the Regulation.  The purpose of this policy is to identify the principles to be applied by Council in the 2013/14 financial year for:  •             Levying rates and charges•             Granting concessions for rates and charges•             Recovering overdue rates and charges;  and•             Cost-recovery fees

2013-14 Debt Policy

To provide Council with a debt management framework based on sound financial management, to undertake borrowings to fund capital expenditure.

Allocation of Divisional Funds to Capital Works

Establish a protocol for the allocation of Divisional Funds to Capital Works

Council Insurance

(1) To document the types of insurance to be maintained by the Council (2) To specify the insurance policies to be obtained by suppliers of goods or services wishing to undertake business with the Council, or parties wishing to use Council land or assets.

Infrastructure Asset Management

To ensure all infrastructure assets are managed and maintained to provide services for the community in our region, in a safe and sustainable manner through a whole of Council approach.

Investment Policy

To provide Council with an investment framework aimed at maximising the return on funds invested within approved risk guidelines and to ensure the security of funds.

Monies held in Trust by Council

To ensure Council correctly administers and accounts for monies held in trust.

Non Current Assets

Provide a framework for the financial management of non-current assets in providing a sustainable asset platform upon which to deliver services into the future.

Procurement

To ensure all Procurement activities:are carried out in a professional manner promoting probity and accountability;comply with Council’s legal and statutory obligations;achieve value for money;minimise operational costs;promote environmentally and socially responsible procurement practices;maintain public confidence in Council’s procurement activities; assist in achieving Council’s goals as set out in the Corporate Plan.

Provision of Financial Securities

To provide guidance on the process to be followed for the acceptance of Financial securities by the Council.

Resumptions and Acquisitions of Land

To confirm Council’s commitment to legal compliance and best practice with respect to the resumption of land process and Council’s preference that acquisition of the land be by agreement wherever possible.

Sundry Debtors [Pine Rivers district]

This policy details how sundry debtors includes payment due for private works and chargeable items. Payment is due within thirty (30) days of the issue of Council's account. Bad debts may be written off only with the approval of Council.

Taxation

To establish guidelines for the management of Council's taxation obligations.


 

Governance

Acceptable Requests by Councillors for Advice or Information Guidelines

To provide clear guidelines about the way in which a Councillor may ask a Council employee for advice or information to help the Councillor carry out his or her responsibilities under the Local Government Act 2009 and the reasonable limits on requests that a Councillor may make.

Audit Committee

This policy demonstrates Council’s commitment to achieving good corporate governance through the adoption of best practice wherever possible. Council recognises the value of an effective independent Audit Committee to assist Council in discharging its legal responsibilities and meeting its business objectives through efficient, effective and economical governance frameworks and processes. This involves oversight, appraisal, monitoring and reporting on internal audit processes and risk management.

Community Comment Session

This policy establishes procedures to allow residents or ratepayers of the Moreton Bay region the opportunity to address Council.

Competitive Neutrality Complaints

To provide a process for resolving competitive neutrality complaints.

Complaints Process - Administrative Action Complaints

The objective of this Policy is to establish a process for dealing with and resolving administrative action complaints.

Conflict of Interest

To assist Officers of the Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC) to manage instances where their private or personal interests may be contrary to those of the organisation or have the capacity to conflict with the person’s duty to act in the public interest.

Corporate Advertising

To ensure high quality and professional advertisements are produced for all council advertising needs while complying with legislation, appropriate authorisation and receiving best value for money in relation to the placement of the advertising.

Councillor Involvement With Development Proposals [Pine Rivers district]

The objective of this policy is to provide Councillors with guidelines for their involvement in discussions with parties having a direct material interest in any particular development proposal or development application.

Disclosure [Pine Rivers district]

The objective of this policy is to provide an outline of the duty of disclosure so that the officers of Council can ensure they comply with the duty when Council is involved in litigation.

Dress Code – Councillor and Officer Attendance at General and Committee Meetings

To ensure a high standard of dress and personal hygiene standard is maintained and to promote a positive image to the general public.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

To identify and proactively address risks and opportunities related to the achievement of organisational objectives to create value for the community, Council and other stakeholders.

Entertainment and Hospitality Expenses

To set standards for entertainment and hospitality expenditure incurred on Council’s behalf which meet legislative and community standards and comply with Council’s Codes of Conduct.

Film Production on Council Controlled Land

Ensure film production complies with appropriate standards of health and safety; that filming doesn't cause damage to public property, etc

Fixed and Mobile Telecommunications Appropriate Usage

Facilitate and ensure cost effective, efficient and reliable communication and information services to all authorised customers/officers to support the operational requirements of Council

Fraud & Corruption

To establish organisational requirements in the prevention, detection and reporting of all fraud and corruption involving Council employees.

Hiring of Plant - Bushfires [Pine Rivers district]

This policy details how fighting bushfires and dealing with other emergencies is not considered to be a normal function of Council, subject to compliance with Council's obligations under the State Counter Disaster Organisation Act 1975.

Information & Communication Technology Security

To provide a governing framework for the security and management of electronic information within Council.

Internal Audit

Section 105 of the Local Government Act 2009 requires that each local government must establish an efficient and effective internal audit function. This policy demonstrates Council’s commitment to achieving good corporate governance through compliance with legislations and the adoption of best practice principles. Council acknowledges the need for an effective Internal Audit function to assist Council in meeting its legal responsibilities and business objectives through effective governance and risk management.

Legal Professional Privilege [Pine Rivers district]

The objectives of this policy are to provide an outline so that officers of Council can determine which documents do not have to be disclosed to other parties and to confirm that the position of  Legal Services continues to be autonomous and independent with regard to the provision of legal advice.

Motor Vehicles: Private and Commuter Use

The objective of this policy is to establish parameters for the use of Council-owned vehicles by Councillors and officers. 

Officers Handling Cash [Pine Rivers district]

This policy explains that any officers who are responsible to receive or disburse cash must follow the procedures set out in the policy.

Oral Medication etc. - Birralee Child Care [Pine Rivers district]

This policy outlines that Council must not administer prescription drugs to children at community centre, unless a doctors letter or pharmacy label is provided.

Outside Employment

To ensure that an employee’s work or voluntary activities outside of Council do not adversely affect Council activities.

Photographic, Audio and Video Records Management [Pine Rivers district]

This policy details that any photographic, audio or video records which are taken by employees are under ownership of the Council as well that these records be retained and managed by Council for future information.

Prosecutions [Pine Rivers district]

The objective of this policy is to establish the processes to be followed in relation to prosecution proceedings.

Public Interest Disclosure

(1) To create a positive reporting environment that encourages the making of public interest disclosures. (2) To provide processes that ensure Public Interest Disclosures are dealt with in a thorough and timely manner. (3) To provide appropriate support and protection to Council personnel or members of the public who make a Public Interest Disclosure. (4) To ensure that Council fulfils its responsibilities under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 (the Act).

Recording of Mayor and Councillor Correspondence

To ensure appropriate procedures are in place for dealing with the correspondence and public records received or generated by the Mayor and Councillors.

Reimbursement of Expenses and Provision of Facilities for Councillors

The objective of this policy is to establish a reasonable level of resourcing for Councillors to enable them to carry out their official duties in an effective and efficient manner and satisfy the mandatory obligations imposed on Council in relation to transparency and accountability by the head of power.

Release of Survey and Research Data

Ensure that data collected by Council from individual respondents and identifiable groups in Council's community surveys and research work remains confidential, and that data obtained is not used inappropriately.

Traffic Infringements and Fines for Council Vehicles [Pine Rivers district]

This policy outlines the procedures involved with and who is responsible for traffic infringements and fines in Council vehicles.

Unreasonable Complainant Conduct Policy

The objective of this Policy is to assist Councillors and Council officers when managing unreasonable complainant conduct.  The Council is committed to being accessible and responsive to all complainants.  However, Council will take proactive and decisive action when complainants conduct themselves unreasonably. 

Use of Council's Information and Communication Technology Systems

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that Council's Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) systems are used legally, ethically and consistently with the aims, values and objectives of Moreton Bay Regional Council. 

Use of the Moreton Bay Region Business Database

To provide clear guidelines for the use of the Moreton Bay Regional Council's business database.

Use of the Moreton Bay Regional Council Corporate Identity (Logo)

To ensure that council’s role in the community is clearly recognised and that its image and reputation are protected and enhanced through accurate, consistent and high quality reproduction of its logo in all applications, including its use by approved sponsors and other entities.

Website Maintenance and Requests for Separate Websites

This policy applies to Council's existing web environment as well as all requests for separate websites for various departments of Council and those organisations directly funded or coordinated through Council.

Working in Children's Services [Pine Rivers district]

The objective of this policy is to provide quality child care that fosters the appropriate development of children of all ages and the development of positive relationships between Council officers, care providers, children and their families.


 

Human Resources

Conference, Seminar, Study Tour & Travel

(1) Establish clear guidelines for travel and accommodation arrangements for Councillors and Officers attending official conferences, seminars and study tours. (2) Provide equitable professional and personal development and networking opportunities for Councillors and Officers within budget constraints. (3) Meet Council's contractual obligations to its Officers whilst conforming to good governance principles.

Drug & Alcohol Testing Policy

The objectives of this policy are to:  1.        Ensure that no person’s health and safety is adversely affected by any Moreton Bay Regional Council employee working while affected by alcohol or a drug; and2.        Assist Moreton Bay Regional Council fulfil all relevant legal obligations in regard to employee safety.

Gifts & Sponsored Hospitality Benefits

Establishes procedures to support council’s commitment to being open and transparent in its operations and minimising the risk of councillors / officers being involved in a conflict of interest situation by the acceptance of gifts or sponsored hospitality benefits.

Special Natural Disaster Leave

To ensure that employees are aware of their leave entitlements and work responsibilities resulting from a declared disaster situation such as flooding, cyclones or bush fires, where employees are unable to attend their usual place of employment or are directly affected as a result of the declaration of a disaster situation.

Workplace Health and Safety

Establish guidelines for the provision, implementation and review of workplace health and safety within MBRC


 

Parks & Facilities

Contribution to Park Equipment [Pine Rivers district]

It is council's policy to, as a condition of a development permit; require a reasonable and relevant park equipment contribution to be paid by the subdivider at the time the plan of subdivision is sealed by the council.

Naming of Council Owned or Administered Buildings, Structures and other Assets (excluding roads)

The objectives of this policy are to Outline Council’s policy position on the naming of all Council owned or administered bridges, buildings and community facilities, parks, reserves, open space, waterways, places, memorials and other assets (except for roads) Establish a naming convention for each of those categories of Council controlled assets which is both responsive to anticipated community expectations and consistent with the stated values of stakeholders and Council.

Personal Tributes in Parks and Public Open Space (excluding roads)

To establish Council’s policy position on requests for the installation of personal tributes within parks, reserves and public open space.

Removal of Urban Trees in Council Controlled Areas [Caboolture district]

To provide procedures and guidelines to assist Parks and Recreation Officers in determining the removal or retention of trees growing on public or Council managed land including parks, reserves and road reserves and other Council controlled properties.To ensure consistency, openness and transparency in the determination of requests from residents, Government Agencies and Council Departments for the removal of trees in parks, reserves and urban road reserves.


 

Planning

Acid sulfate soils (Planning scheme policy 1) [Caboolture district]

Adopted in conjunction with the Caboolture ShirePlan, this Planning Scheme Policy provides a guide to Council’s requirements for acid sulfate soil investigations and management plans.

Approval of Subdivision Plan Prior to Completion of all Subdivision Works

The objectives of this policy are to:  establish Council’s policy position on approving a Subdivision Plan prior to the completion of all Subdivision Works; andensure that certain requirements are satisfied prior to Council agreeing to the early approval of a Subdivision Plan; andset out the standard documentation and security requirements that are required to be completed and lodged with Council where a development proponent is seeking Council’s approval of their Subdivision Plan prior to completion of all subdivision works.

Bonding of Incomplete Works [Redcliffe district]

This policy deals with bonding of incomplete works to enable issue of the certificate of classification or occupation of multiple dwellings or commercial or industrial buildings policy.

Car Parking Contributions for Existing Premises Converting to More Intensive Uses [Pine Rivers district]

This policy details the processes involved with constructing additional carparks, if a future development is said to need additional carparks then are available at the time.

Cash Contribution for Parkland Improvements [Redcliffe district]

Cash contribution for parkland improvements and/or acquisition pertaining to accommodation units, the residential component of composite buildings, duplex dwelling, motels, and multiple-dwellings requiring approval or proposed to be constructed and subdivided as a Community Titles Plan.

Community wellbeing impact assessment (Planning scheme policy 2) [Caboolture district]

Adopted in conjunction with the Caboolture ShirePlan, this Planning Scheme Policy provides a guide to Council’s requirements for information in a Community Wellbeing Impact Assessment Report and Management Plan.

Cultural heritage (Planning scheme policy 3) [Caboolture district]

Adopted in conjunction with the Caboolture ShirePlan, this Planning Scheme Policy outlines Council’s requirements for information to be included in a Cultural Heritage Management Plan.

Design & development manual (Planning scheme policy 4) [Caboolture district]

Adopted in conjunction with the Caboolture ShirePlan, this Planning Scheme Policy outlines Council’s requirements for works matters relating to roadworks and stormwater drainage, and water and sewerage infrastructure.

Design Standards and Standard Drawings [Pine Rivers district]

It is Council's policy to adopt design standards and standard drawings for roads, drainage, water supply sewerage and other matters. As well as preparing a design manual in regards to these adoptions. This policy also defines words and phrases specific to the document.

Developer Contributions For Social Infrastructure - Northern Growth Corridor [Pine Rivers district]

This policy aims to provide guidance to developers and Council, mechanisms for establishing an equitable distribution of costs associated with social infrastructure as well as fulfilling obligations under "Desired Regional Outcome 6" of the SEQ Regional Plan.

Developers Contributions for Trunk Infrastructure- Recreation Trails [Pine Rivers district]

This Policy is intended to require contributions and set the contribution rates for recreation trails within the district.

Adopted in conjunction with the Caboolture ShirePlan, this Planning Scheme Policy outlines Council's requirements for preparing development applications for assessment under the planning scheme.

Ecological assessment (Planning scheme policy 6) [Caboolture district]

Adopted in conjunction with the Caboolture ShirePlan, this Planning Scheme Policy outlines Council’s requirements for information to be included in an Ecological Assessment Report and Property Vegetation Management Plan.

Economic impact (Planning scheme policy 7) [Caboolture district]

Electricity infrastructure (Planning scheme policy 8) [Caboolture district]

Adopted in conjunction with the Caboolture ShirePlan, this Planning Scheme Policy outlines Council's requirements for information that should be included in a Hazard and Risk Impact Assessment Study.

Headworks - contribution to costs of water and sewerage [Redcliffe district]

This policy relates to Section 6.2 of the Local Government (Planning and Environment) Act and specifies the equipment and structures that constitute water supply or sewerage headworks; and the determination of the contribution to be made by the applicant.

Koala conservation (Planning scheme policy 13) [Caboolture district]

Adopted in conjunction with the Caboolture ShirePlan, this Planning Scheme Policy provides guidance to applicants in respect of addressing the requirements of the Koala Conservation Overlay Code.

Landscaping (Planning scheme policy 14) [Caboolture district]

Adopted in conjunction with the Caboolture ShirePlan, this Planning Scheme Policy provides a guide to Council’s requirements for Landscape Plans and assists compliance with the Landscaping Works Code with regard to the selection of appropriate species.

Noise (Planning scheme policy 15) [Caboolture district]

Roads & Drainage

Allocation of Road Names and Street Address Numbers

The objectives of this policy are (1) To outline Council’s policy position on (a) The naming of Council controlled public roads within the region and (b) The allocation of street address numbers for all properties within the region (2) To ensure that those road names and street address numbers are allocated and managed in a logical, consistent and accountable manner.

Arterial road routes [Caboolture district]

To inform purchasers, prospective purchasers and Council officers of the proximity of properties to planned, major road corridors.

Maintenance of Watercourses and Drainage Easements within Private Properties

The objectives of this policy are to outline Moreton Bay Regional Council’s policy position on:  Council’s responsibility to clear weeds and overgrown vegetation within watercourses and drainage easements on private property;Circumstances when Council will enter private property and undertake maintenance of  watercourses and drainage easements.

Public Consultation - proposed infrastructure development [Redcliffe district]

This policy aims to keep residents informed of proposed works and to ensure that such works do not impact adversely, as far as practicable, on those residents or other users of the area subject of those works.

Roadworks Contributions [Pine Rivers district]

It is council's policy to require a reasonable and relevant roadworks contribution to be paid by the subdivider at the time the plan of subdivision is sealed by the council where conditions in the policy are met.

Shading of Streetlights

Address concerns of residents when a streetlight glare problem is reported and determine the need for a streetlight shade, taking into consideration the general standard of lighting in the area, traffic safety and needs of pedestrians.

Street lighting - decorative [Caboolture district]

Establishes a methodology for determining developer contributions towards annual street lighting charges where the use of decorative street lighting will result in higher annual costs to Council as compared to those associated with non-decorative street lighting.

Streetlighting - Rate 2 - Lighting Range [Pine Rivers district]

It is policy that Council's streetlighting will be installed in accordance with council's streetlighting guidelines and will be of a type provided and installed by the South East Queensland Electricity Board (SEQEB) and maintained by that organisation.

The objective of this policy is to improve operational efficiency and minimise the adverse impacts of Council's waste transfer stations on nearby residents by restricting access to such facilities.

Disposal of Waste Free of Charge at Moreton Bay Regional Council's Waste Management Facilities for Residents, Ratepayers and Community Groups

To establish what waste can be disposed of free of charge at MBRC waste management facilities for residents, ratepayers and community groups.

General Waste and Recyclable Waste Storage and Collection for Residential and Commercial Developments

Establish standards for the storage and collection of general waste and recyclable waste bins in residential and commercial developments.


 

Water & Sewerage

Contributions for Implementing Mitigation of Stormwater Quality and Quantity [Pine Rivers district]

This policy details the contributions needed to be paid to Council to implement mitigation of stormwater quality and quantity and also the process of applying for reconfiguring a lot or material change of use to alter the stormwater facility on the lot. 

Developer Contributions for Trunk Infrastructure - Implementing Mitigation of Stormwater Quality and Quantity Impacts [Pine Rivers district]

This policy is intended to require contributions and set the contribution rates for stormwater drainage matters arising from development.

Motor Vehicles: Private and Commuter Use

The objective of this policy is to establish parameters for the use of Council-owned vehicles by Councillors and officers.
