21 Biggs Avenue, Beachmere

Located on the waterfront of Beachmere overlooking Moreton Bay with views of Moreton Island, Bribie Island, Deception Bay and Scarborough. This park is surrounded by fully landscaped gardens with stair access to the beach. Community Hall could be considered an option for the reception. Choice of shaded/grassed areas with crazy paving throughout. Close to activity centre with BBQ, tables and bench seating. Toilets at Clayton Park . Car parking on site for 11 vehicles. Hall is available for bookings.

Great views overlooking Bramble Bay, Moreton Bay, The Port of Brisbane and "The Ted Smout Bridge" Flat grassed area with shady trees. Toilets close proximity, covered seating area, road and off-road car parking.

Bluey Piva Park  [Ideal wedding venue]

Corner North Street and First Avenue, Woorim. Woorim Foreshore near main beach, entrance beside surf club.

Ceremony site is located on the foreshore with a fabulous ocean outlook - trees provide limited shade. During peak season there may be considerable pedestrian traffic to beach access. Car parking available. Facilities include toilet, electric BBQ's, benches, picnic tables and a sheltered secure playground.

Chamber of Commerce Park (Welsby Parade Park) [Ideal wedding venue]

6 Welsby Parade, Bongaree (opposite Bribie Island Bowls Club)

Views of the Pumistone Passage and Glasshouse Mountains, this grassed area with shady trees and other facilities would be an ideal location for a small ceremony. Seating, toilet and BBQ facilities close by. Bride could consider a boat arrival as the Jetty is close by.

Facilities include toilets approx 200m, electric BBQ's, picnic tables, seats, play equipment, shelter, car parking and beach access.

The Humpybong Park area is home to several attractions including the Redcliffe Museum, the Humpybong Skate Park, Redcliffe Area Youth Space and the Redcliffe Memorial Swimming Pool. The Humpybong Skate Park features skate bowls, grinders, stunt ramps, a quarter pipe, wedge ramp, fun box, stairs and a flat skating area. Facilities include barbeque, covered picnic tables, bikeways & toilets.

8 Reef Point Esplanade, Scarborough

With northern views to Deception Bay and the Glasshouse Mountains this is a quiet location close to the beach for a small ceremony. Facilities include BBQ's, picnic tables, play equipment, bench/table settings, shady trees, toilets (disabled) 200m, playground closeby, limited parking.

Jetty Square Park  [Ideal wedding venue]

Oxley Avenue, Woody Point

With views of Brisbane City and 'The Ted Smout Bridge' this grassed area in front of the Woody Point Jetty is an ideal setting for a ceremony. A beautiful location, especially with the sun setting - great photos on the Jetty. Shady tree, toilets (approx 300m). This park is situated in a very busy area - limited parking available.

John Oxley Reserve

This Reserve is home to a rich diversity of plant and animal life. Although it may be small covering approximately 11 hectares, it provides for the community in many ways.  It is an important wildlife refuge along the North Pine River, is home to 242 bird species, 13 mammal species, 8 reptile species and 8 amphibian species.

Norfolk Lakes Park (MacDonald Drive Park) [Ideal wedding venue]

MacDonald Drive Narangba

A deep permanent billabong, with lily-pad lined shallow edges. One side of the billabong is lined with native vegetation, the other side is a structured parkland which borders onto suburbia. This park has a mixture of  wild places, manicured gardens and paths. The lake attracts a variety of birdlife/wildlife. Playground, bench seating and good parking are available. No toilets available at this site.

North Lakes Town Park [Ideal wedding venue]

Lakefield Drive

Lake Eden is a man made lake, perimeter measures two kilometers with an average depth of 3 meters and is home to a wide variety of bird life and small native animals. North Lakes is a community located 25 kilometers north of Brisbane CBD. The ceremony site is located near the timber viewing platform and rock terraced grassed area with beautiful lake views. Large shady trees and abundant bird/wildlife. Toilets located approx 200m - limited parking.

Redcliffe Botanic Gardens (Gazebo & Grassed Area) [Ideal wedding venue]

Entrance off Henzell or George Street, Redcliffe

The Redcliffe Botanical Gardens cover an area of approx 200 square meters and contains some 500 different species of culinary, medicinal, industrial, native herbs and assorted varieties of plants. The ceremony area located in the gardens has a Gazebo or open garden setting - beautiful gum trees and a lovely grassed area. Access can be arranged through double gates from either Trilby or Henzell Street, and roadside parking is available on both streets. A word of warning - the gardens are home to a colony of bats - very noisy at sunset and some of the paths can be a little messy. Toilets with Disabled access are on site - approx 300m from the Gazebo/grassed area.

Scarborough Beach Park [Ideal wedding venue]

Landsborough Ave, Scarborough

Scarborough Beach is one of a number of sandy beaches along the coastline. The main street is a popular location for families and day visitors. Overlooking views of Moreton Island across Moreton Bay. Toilets with disabled access available. This area is located in the centre of the park under shady cottonwood trees, playground close by, limited seating, limited car parking.

Scarborough Beach Park also has a large, outdoor chess set that is free to use.

Keys to access the chess set are available from the staff at the Friendly Grocer store, 75 Landsborough Ave, Scarborough (opposite the chess board) or by calling (07) 3203 4700. 

You will need to leave a suitable ID card or driver licence with the store while you use the chess set. 

Note, the chess set may be reserved for chess club tournaments from time to time.

Sunset Park  [Wheelchair accessible] [Ideal wedding venue]

1 Marina Boulevard, Banksia Beach

Great location on the point of Bribie Island - beautifully maintained gardens with a variety of settings to choose from and a gazebo for the ceremony. Views of Pumistone Passage and Glasshouse Mountains - no toilets, however could use Pirate Park toilets - entry by boat - check tidal information.

Suttons Beach Park [Ideal wedding venue]

Marine Parade, Redcliffe

Great views overlooking Bramble Bay, Moreton Island and the Port of Brisbane. Large lawn area with shady trees. Disabled toilet. Good parking. Close to Youth Park playground.

Sweeney Reserve

Carmody Court, Petrie

Please note due to the January 2011 Floods, Sweeney Reserve's park infrastructure was damaged and is awaiting repair. Toilet block facilities are functional, car park has also been fixed.

With views to Moreton Island this park is very secluded with large shady trees - suitable for a small ceremony. There are no toilets at this site, however toilets are located at Jamieson Park which is a short drive down Second Avenue. Bench seating and car parking on roadside is available.

Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park [Ideal wedding venue]

This park offers a beautiful setting with established and well maintained gardens and Gazebo. A peaceful and serene atmosphere. No toilets on site, however facilities are close by. Ample parking.

The jetty provides shelters, seating, drinking water, lighting and fish cleaning tables, information plaques and rod holders. Interpretative signage has been installed to celebrate Redcliffe’s story and maritime heritage.
