The Community Events Fund supports the development of new, innovative and sustainable community based events that strengthen communities and celebrate the region’s vibrant lifestyle.

Eligibility

Organisations applying for funding under the Community Events Fund must:

  • Be staged in the Moreton Bay region

This category supports the new and developing local events that celebrate the vibrant lifestyle of the Moreton Bay region and provide opportunities for community connection and participation.

Community grant workshop sessions

Community Grants Workshops will be held throughout the region to promote the opening of the new grant round and to provide information to prospective applicants.

Project: Old Petrie Town Steam Fair
Grant funding: $4,255.00

The Queensland Vintage Steam & Vintage Machinery Society received $4,255.00 in 16/17 Round 1 to assist with transporting exhibition pieces and the purchase of event signage. The weekend-long Fair is Queensland's Premier Heritage Steam and Vintage Machinery event, and attracts visitors from all over the state.
