Moreton Bay Regional Council will continue its aerial mosquito treatment program this Saturday, April 15 following recent rainfall.
From 7am, council’s mozzie helicopter will target areas around the Redcliffe aerodrome at Rothwell.
The aerial treatments coincide with council’s ongoing program to treat for mozzies on the ground at public places like parks, recreations and reserves.
To help combat mosquitoes in and around the home, residents should also empty any containers that might contain rainwater, regularly change their pet’s water bowl and ensure their pools remain chlorinated.
Residents should also apply mosquito repellent when heading outdoors, especially at dawn and dusk.
