Marine Parade Improvement, Redcliffe

Moreton Bay Regional Council is committed to improving the provision of high quality pedestrian infrastructure that enhance safety for all road users throughout Moreton Bay.  It is proposed to construct two pedestrian priority raised crossings on Marine Parade between Sydney Street and Anzac Ave.  The two new crossing points will continue the works previously completed in 2014 along Marine Parade between Sydney Street and MacDonnell Road.

Along with the two (2) new raised zebra crossings, other works will include:

  • Removal of the existing vehicle guardrail, which will improve car parking on the eastern side of Marine Parade,
  • Upgrading the existing pedestrian refuge near the Anzac Avenue roundabout,
  • New line marking at the intersection of Dix Street and Marine Parade, and
  • Installation of a flat top speed hump to reduce traffic speeds, to be placed centrally between the two raised zebra crossing points.
