Marine Parade Improvement, Redcliffe

Moreton Bay Regional Council is committed to improving the provision of high quality pedestrian infrastructure that enhance safety for all road users throughout Moreton Bay. It is proposed to construct two pedestrian priority raised crossings on Marine Parade between Sydney Street and Anzac Ave. This will complete the pedestrian crossings that were constructed in 2014 along Marine Parade between Sydney Street and Macdonnell Road.

Along with the two (2) new raised zebra crossings, other works will include:

  • Removal of the existing vehicle guardrail, which will improve car parking on the eastern side of Marine Parade,
  • New line marking at the intersection of Dix Street and Marine Parade, and
  • Installation of a flat top speed hump to reduce traffic speeds, to be placed centrally between the two-raised zebra crossing points.

The Project is currently underway and is expected to be completed by the End of November 2017, weather permitting
