Funding opportunities

The Community Grants Program comprises of six funds, with individual categories within each fund.

Before applying applicants must read the Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Community Grants Program Guidelines to determine their eligibility and for further information about each funding opportunity.


Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF)

The Regional Arts Development Fund is delivered as a partnership between the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and local councils across the State RADF promotes the role and value of arts, culture and heritage as key drivers of diverse and inclusive communities and strong regions. RADF invests in local and cultural priorities, as determined by local communities, across Queensland. RADF is a flexible fund, enabling local councils to tailor RADF programs to suits the needs of their communities. 

Funding categories under RADF include Developing Creative Skills, Creative Tourism, Collections and Stories, Creative Concept Development, and Interest Free Arts Loan.

Applications for the 16/17 Round 2 are now closed. The 17/18 Round 1 will open from 1 July 2017.  


Facility Development Fund 

Supports the planning and development of new, and improvement to existing, community facilities throughout the Moreton Bay region.

Funding categories include Facility Planning, Facility Improvement, and Interest Free Loans for Facility Improvements.

Applications for the 16/17 Round 2 are now closed. The 17/18 Round 1 will open from 1 July 2017.  


Community Events Fund 

Supports the development of new, innovative and sustainable community based events that strengthen communities and celebrate the region’s vibrant lifestyle.

Applications for the 16/17 Round 2 are now closed. The 17/18 Round 1 will open from 1 July 2017.  


Community Projects Fund 

Supports the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that preserve and maintain the environment and/or build a safe, inclusive and connected region. 

Funding categories include Environmental Sustainability, and Community Initiatives.

Applications for the 16/17 Round 2 are now closed. The 17/18 Round 1 will open from 1 July 2017.  


Organisation Development Fund 

Supports the development of strong and well-resourced community organisations through the provision of funding for small equipment purchases and governance and business planning activities.

Funding categories include Small Equipment and Governance and Business Planning. 

Applications for the 16/17 Round 2 are now closed. The 17/18 Round 1 will open from 1 July 2017.
