Software requirements

Where possible information on this website is presented in a manner that can be viewed by any web browser software. In certain cases, documents and other materials may be made available in other file formats. These file formats are in common use and will often utilise software that is already installed. If this software is not available, installation of a reader or convertor may be necessary.

Portable Document Format (PDF)

PDF is a file format used to represent documents in a manner independent of application software, hardware and operating systems. To open, view and print PDF files, you will need a PDF reader installed. Some free readers include:

Word documents (DOC or DOCX)

Files with the DOC or DOCX extension are word processing documents compatible with various applications such as Microsoft Word, Apple Pages or Apache OpenOffice Writer. Alternatively a Word viewer allows you view, print and copy Word documents on a computer that does not have compatible software installed.

Spreadsheet documents (XLS or XLSX)

Files with the XLS or XLSX extension are spreadsheet files compatible with various applications such as Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers or Apache OpenOffice Calc. Alternatively an Excel viewer allows you view and print Excel workbooks on a computer that does not have compatible software installed.
