Opportunities to enhance private property for the protection of native plants and animals are available through Council's Land for Wildlife and Voluntary Conservation programs.
  • Land for wildlife

    Land for Wildlife is a unique, voluntary program which provides resources to private land holders and community groups managing land with existing wildlife habitat.

  • Bushcare

    Moreton Bay Region Bushcare is a Council program that provides the community with opportunities to learn more about our environment and participate in hands on conservation and restoration activities.

  • Conservation agreements

    Provides landholders with the opportunity and assistance to protect significant nature conservation areas or in perpetuity.

  • Green Army

    Provides skills, training and experience to 17 to 24 years olds to improve their employment prospects by working in environmental projects that focus on restoring natural and heritage areas.

  • Nature conservation management programs

    Opportunities to enhance private property for the protection of native plants and animals are available through Council's Land for Wildlife and Voluntary Conservation programs.

  • Research Partnerships Program

    Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Research Partnerships Program supports collaborative scientific research with educational institutions, community groups, and government agencies on issues affecting the environment.

  • Voluntary Conservation Program grants

    Individual grants are available up to a maximum of $2,500 per property.
