Bribie Island Library
Come along every day (during library opening hours, excluding public holidays) and pick up bargain children’s books, fiction, biographies, paper backs and more! Prices from 50 cents. All money raised is used to support the Bribie Island Library.

Meet world traveller Jennifer Burge and discover why The Devil Wears Clogs. American born Jennifer’s dream was to work overseas, so she jumped at the chance to work in Germany, then Holland. A stranger in a land becoming increasingly hostile to Americans after the US decision to go to war in Iraq, she had to learn to adopt a new perspective and manage relationships with European colleagues. Despite remarkable odds, Jennifer leaned on her professional strength and a heavy dose of sarcasm to navigate this unknown territory.

Meet Dave Morgan, Vietnam Vet, Antarctic researcher and author of My Vietnam War: scarred forever. Far from his carefree youth, the Vietnam War exposed Dave Morgan to an atmosphere of ever-present danger and sheer terror that would impact him forever. In My Vietnam War Dave combines letters he wrote as a soldier with his recollections and diary entries, and the short stories of seven other veterans, to capture the unbelievable danger and horror that these young men experienced.
