Connected Communities program

Are you passionate and motivated about creating better communities? Perhaps you have a great idea for a community project or want to learn more about working with people to design and create new community initiatives.

Through the Connected Communities Program workshops you will meet people who share your vision and increase your community networks, exchange ideas and tips, build your skills and confidence.

Workshop content

The Connected Communities Program will be delivered over 20 hours by experienced facilitators from Community Praxis Co-op. The workshops focus on creating strong connections within communities to develop community initiatives and projects, whilst building the resources, capacity, resilience and leadership to creatively engage with your community. The 3 hour workshops will be on Thursday mornings during November and December 2018, with refreshments provided.

The workshop content will build three core learnings through interactive participation including:

  1. Exploring the kind of community residents want to live in
  2. Exploring what blocks us from creating our ideal communities
  3. Learning skills and methods to connect with others in our communities to create new initiatives.
