The Moreton Bay Art Collection reflects the vision, diversity and character of the Moreton Bay region. Focussing on culture, identity, spirit and sense of place, the collection is an important source of reference and inspiration, and represents long term cultural benefits to the community.

How artworks are acquired

We are committed to the continued development of a quality art collection that integrates new artworks on an annual basis. This is achieved through an annual acquisitions program which endeavours to acquire high quality and significant works of art from emerging and established artists in a range of genres and styles. We also seeks additional funding and artwork donations from the private and public sectors to facilitate further growth of the Art Collection.

Artworks on display

Much of the Art Collection is on display at local libraries and other council venues. Special art exhibitions featuring works from the collection are periodically on display at the Caboolture Regional Art Gallery, Pine Rivers Art Gallery, Redcliffe City Art Gallery and the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre.
