Sustainability Champions awards

Council's Sustainability Champions award is an annual waste reduction initiative. The program rewards and recognises schools and early learning centres that are leading the way in sustainable waste management.

Data is collected from the site at the start and end of the school year. This data is used to measure the progress of the school or centre in reducing waste to landfill.

Final site reports that meet a set criteria are awarded Sustainability Champions and will get a certificate and trophy made from upcycled materials.

Council would like to acknowledge, celebrate and promote your school or early learning centre's commitment to best-practice waste management. If your school or early learning centre practices sustainable waste management and has initiatives in place to reduce, reuse and recycle, register(PDF, 630KB) for the Sustainability Champions Award.
