Note that any non-compliance with Council's acceptance criteria and safety conditions or the pile of material is larger than the quantity booked and paid for, may result in some or all of the material not being collected.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ASBESTOS AND FIBRO PRODUCTS
Where practical waste collection vehicles collecting bulky household items, bundled garden vegetation and reusable / clean recyclable items will travel together to ensure as much material is recovered for further processing at the Resource Recovery Area or resale at the Treasure Markets at Council’s major waste management facilities prior to disposal of residual waste in landfill. If your items are still good quality, consider donating them to a charity, selling them online or having a garage sale prior to placing them out for collection.
Garden vegetation must be tied in manageable bundles with natural twine.
Cleanaway delivers the material to Council’s green waste processing area for shredding and composting. Council offers shredded green waste/mulch for residents and commercial landscaping reuse.
How to present your bulky waste and garden vegetation for collection:
Residents are responsible for the temporary storage of the material on the kerb until it is collected, so please ensure that you prepare the material to prevent it from becoming windblown, an illegal dump, litter or a hazard.

Department of Housing may provide a bulky waste collection to eligible tenants and community housing complexes on arrangement with Council.
Combined collections are provided to dwellings within a complex on the same day.
Residents should contact their liaison officer at the Department of Housing to organise a collection.
