Woodford Hall

The Woodford Memorial Hall is located in the heart of the Woodford township. It is close to shops and cafes and next door to the Woodford Library and Museum.

The venue includes an upper level hall and supper room which can be hired separately or together and a lower level meeting room.

Supper room

The carpeted supper room is 4.5 metres x 11 metres and is pre-set with tables and chairs.

The venue is a self-service model: all hirers are responsible for set-up/pack-down and cleaning of the venue before the conclusion of the hire.

Capacity

The supper room has a capacity of 40 people.

Accessibility

Woodford Memorial Hall has an accessible entry from the front door with under cover drop off area.

Additional parking is at the rear with designated accessible parking bays and ramp access to the front door.

The internal amenities off the foyer include an accessible toilet.

Hire fees

A discount of 50 percent applies for not-for-profit/incorporated associations.

Security bond

Council may charge a refundable security bond.

Restrictions

  • Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight.
  • Equipment may be left in the venue if the hirer has a booking for the following day, or by arrangement with Hall Management.
  • Smoking is not permitted in, or within 5 metres of, Council venues, except for designated smoking areas.
  • The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machine is prohibited.
  • Decorative items such as glitter, rice, rose petals, sand or confetti is not permitted.
  • Decorations must not be affixed in any way that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacks.
  • Animals with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without Council approval.

Venue Inspections

Hall Management may provide prospective hirers the opportunity to view the hall prior to booking. Inspections are by appointment only and depend upon the availability of the venue.
