Bribie Island Recreation Hall is centrally located within the Bribie Island Recreation Reserve, set off from the road with sports fields on either side, backing onto bushland.This building is also home to the University of the Third Age and Bribie Island Vietnam Veterans.

This venue has recently been refurbished with a brand new commercial kitchen.

The hall is approximately 210 square metres, 15 metres long x 14 metres wide with a stage that is approximately 48 square metres, 8 metres long x 6 metres wide.

There is ample unrestricted shared parking which also includes accessible parking bays located at the front of the hall.

This venue is a "self-service" model which means the hirer is responsible for setting up, pack down and cleaning of the venue.

The facility is available for hire between the hours of 6:00 AM and 12:00 AM (midnight).

Capacity

The hall has a maximum capacity of 200 people. 

Accessibility

Bribie Island Recreation Hall is accessible by wheelchair from the main car park, which includes allocated disability access parking bays. An accessible toilet, is located off the main hall on the right hand side.

Please inspect the facility prior to booking to ensure it meets your accessibility requirements. 

Booking information

Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.  Please note the following: 

  • booking requests are required at least five business days prior to the requested hire date
  • a minimum of 1 hour hire applies to all bookings 
  • bookings can be requested up to one year in advance
  • council may charge a refundable security bond to cover potential damage to the facility during hire.

  2. Review site induction program and complete registration. Note the reference number provided. You will need this number to complete your application.

  • dishwasher

Note: No cooking utensils, pots, pans, serving equipment, dishwashing liquid, washcloths or tea towels are provided.

Restrictions

  • Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight.
  • Equipment may be left in the venue if the hirer has a booking for the following day, or by arrangement with Hall Management.
  • Smoking is not permitted in, or within 5 metres of, Council venues, except for designated smoking areas.
  • The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machine is prohibited.
  • Decorative items such as glitter, rice, rose petals, sand or confetti is not permitted.
  • Decorations must not be affixed in any way that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacks.
  • Animals with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without Council approval.

Venue inspections

Council may provide prospective hirers with one inspection prior to booking. Inspections are conducted between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM business days and subject to hall availability.
