Freds Road, Ocean View, is a local road controlled and managed by Council. During the February/March 2022 weather event a section of Freds Road was impacted by a landslide resulting in a portion of the road becoming partially obstructed.
As an interim measure in this location, emergency works were undertaken to temporarily restore access whilst geotechnical investigations and design works were undertaken. The objective of these current works is to permanently reconstruct the road to a safe and useable condition. Reconstruction works will involve bulk earthworks to stabilise the bank and restore the road.
