Jetty landing and mooring

Landing or mooring a commercial boat or vessel in a local government controlled area (such as a Council controlled jetty) requires approval under Local Law No. 1 (Administration) 2011.


Commercial operators wanting to land a vessel should lodge the Jetty landing application(PDF, 745KB) and pay the relevant fee at time of lodgement.

Recreational users are permitted to land on the pontoon at the end of the Redcliffe Jetty without Local Law approval. Vessels found to have landed in excess of times allowed, may be subject to an infringement notice.


Commercial operators wanting to moor a vessel should lodge the Jetty mooring application(PDF, 740KB) and pay the relevant fee at time of lodgement.

Requests for moorings along the coastline or in waterways in the region such as Beachmere, Bribie passage or Caboolture/Pine River should be directed to Maritime Safety Queensland.

Recreational users are not permitted to moor at Jetties.
