Environmentally relevant activities
Local Government is responsible for regulating some environmentally relevant activities under the Environmental Protection Act 1994. These activities are:
- asphalt manufacturing
- plastic product manufacturing
- metal forming
- metal recovery
- surface coating
- boat maintenance and repair
- waste incineration and thermal treatment.
Operators of these activities are required to hold an environmental authority.
