Moreton Bay Recovery Fund - Feb 2022 weather and flood event grants

A community organisation that applies for funding under this grant must meet the following criteria:

• be based in the Moreton Bay Region
• have $20 million public liability insurance if required by Council.

The following are ineligible organisation types:

• for profit organisations
• government departments and agencies
• schools
• political groups.

With the exception of Round 2 - Unincorporated community groups may apply through an auspice which is able to accept legal and financial responsibility for the project. The auspice organisation must meet the above criteria.

Individuals are not eligible to apply for funding under this grant.

Applications must be made online through SmartyGrants while the grant round is open. Use the "Apply now" button in the table to commence an application.

Depending on the grant round for which you are applying, the below documentation may be needed:

• current Public Liability Certificate of insurance
• quotes for individual expenditure items greater than $500
• letters of support (auspiced applications only)
• Improvement works application
• land owner consent
• bank statement header

Specific details can be found in the guidelines for the relevant grant round.

Applications will be progressed through the following stages:

1. Eligibility check
2. Assessment
3. Council endorsement
4. Applicant notification

Notification periods are approximate and vary for each grant round:

• Round 1 - approximately 14 business days after closing date
• Round 2 - approximately 16 business days after closing date
• Round 3 - TBA
