Frequently asked questions

Questions

How will the MBRC Scholarship affect my Youth Allowance or other Centrelink payments?

Centrelink payments should not be affected by receiving an MBRC Scholarship. Scholarships are exempt from the Department of Human Services income test up to a certain amount and the MBRC Scholarship is within that exemption threshold.

It’s recommended students contact the University of the Sunshine Coast or Centrelink to discuss their individual situation.
