Would you like to learn more about working with communities? Have you heard about community development but want to know more?

This free training provides the opportunity for you to reflect on how you work with the community. By applying community development principles, you will be able to increase the impact of your work.

About the course

The course will run for two afternoons, with participants attending both sessions.

We will look at:

  • what makes our communities great
  • what the challenges are
  • how developmental work takes different approaches to building community.

There will be opportunities to discuss and learn techniques in listening, responding and encouraging greater participation in initiatives.

About you

This training is for people employed in community services, schools and other community sector organisations, clubs and groups. No qualifications are required, just an interest in knowing more and increasing your engagement with the community through your work.
